We all love Belgium Waffles on our Breakfast table. The big sized waffles served with delicious toppings simply bring a smile on our face. Be it with honey, margarine or strawberries, we love Belgian waffles with each of them. But most of the times, we do not like to go especially to the restaurant to get our sweet waffles. So, the best idea here is to buy a Belgian Waffle iron and cook of our own. Don't worry; these are very easy to use. Take a look at following simple steps on using a Belgian Waffle Iron and making your favorite waffles at home.

Firstly, put your Belgian Waffle on the kitchen shelve or a table or any other hard surface. Clean the iron griddle with a moist cloth and remove any dust from it. Now, plug the Belgian waffle iron into socket and let it pre-heat. Make sure that the griddle is dry before connecting it into the socket.

Some irons are automatic and do not require to switch-on, while other are not. So, you need to adjust accordingly. Usually, all Belgian waffle makers come with an internal temperature gauge, which helps maintaining a consistent temperature. Hence, there is no need to worry about over-heating or temperature adjustment.

While the waffle iron is pre-heating, prepare and mix your batter. Read the instructions given on the unit pack or instruction booklet about griddle size and ladle. Now, spread the batter on griddle using ladle. Start from the middle and let it spread to the outer sides. While it is spreading to the outer edges, press it down so that it spreads a little more. After you are done with spreading the batter, close the lid of your waffle maker and let the batter bake for about four to five minutes.

Now unplug and open the Belgian waffle maker to confirm if it is properly baked. I must repeat here again that instructions should be properly read before proceeding on waffle making, as every model is different from other. Smoothly lift the edges of baked waffle with the help of a spatula and then completely remove it.

When the griddles get cooled, remove them from the Belgium waffle iron and wash with lukewarm soap water. Dry with a soft cloth and place again in the iron. Garnish the waffle and add topping like honey, strawberry, hot fudge, peanut butter, etc. and serve it either in breakfast or as a dessert.

If you are making waffles for your kids, here's a tip they will love. Make some delicious waffles which look like Mickey Mouse. Here's a step by step guide on how to make Mickey Mouse Waffles.
